Kate Moss may star in biopic

Supermodel Kate Moss is reportedly set to launch her film career by playing the role of Paula Yates in an upcoming movie based on the life of her former lover Michael Hutchence. According to reports, the film will follow the story of Yates' romance with late INXS frontman Michael Hutchence (to be played by Johnny Depp), which ended in her dying of an overdose. The film's director Nick Egan believes that the fact that Moss and Depp enjoyed an off-screen romance will add intensity and chemistry to the final product. "It could work beautifully or be a disaster, but producers want a powerful leading couple," an insider told the Daily Star. "Paula and Michael were both big drug users and lived a tortured existence. Turning their ill-fated romance into a film will not make for comfortable viewing." Moss, who is apparently still involved in a relationship with drug-addled Babyshambles rocker Pete Doherty, was recently immersed in controversy after pictures were published of her snorting cocaine in a London recording studio and has managed to slowly repair her damaged reputation.
