It's a girl for Brangelina!
In what was arguably the most anticipated delivery in the world, Angelina Jolie gave birth to Brad Pitt's daughter Saturday in Africa, Pitt's publicist announced.
"The night of May 27, 2006 in Namibia, Africa, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt welcomed their daughter Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt. No further information is being given," publicist Cindy Guagenti said in a statement.
No photographs were being released, she added.
The baby's arrival had been the subject of intense press speculation in recent months, compelling the superstar couple to decamp to Africa for privacy.
The actors were linked romantically shortly after appearing together in the 2005 movie "Mr. and Mrs. Smith."
Jolie, 30, is a frequent visitor to Africa and serves as goodwill ambassador for the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees. [Yahoo]

I remember watching Brad tell Diane Sawyer years ago how much he wanted a girl.. I think he said "little girls break my heart"

I'm sincerely thrilled for the family, and I love the name they've chosen for their daughter. I hope people will cease with declaring how physically beautiful this child will be and focus on hoping she's healthy & happy. I also agree with you 9:53 "Brad already had a daughter, and now he has two."

My God give me a break. I think he left his spine in L.A. Good old country boy has gone African Buddist on us. Sometimes I wish I could see into the future about 10 years when he's 52 and has 6 kids.

I think its great the baby was born healthy. it will be hard for them to have 3 kids four and under.
what will happen when they both start working? will this last? i dont think so. they have different morals and backrounds. brad is an american from the bible belt born and raised. angelina is an unstable mess. lust won her this round but it wont last forever. he will be recloned.

Shiloh also means "his gift" in Hebraic so perhaps it is fitting, his (BP) gift to her (AJ) or his gift from her? Nouvel is French for new, although when associated with the feminine would be spelled "nouvelle".

When he adopted the two kids i guess it was obvious he was the 2nd parent and Jolie was the 1st. But this baby is both and I think it should be called Pitt-Jolie.

Do you actually belive what you wrote?! You act like Brad Pitt has an halo over his head, and that Angelina's cast some spell over his previously lilywhite ass and he doesn't know if he's coming or going. I got a STRONG feeling their relationship is a whole lot stronger, closer, respectful and more wrapped in love then yours, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if 10yrs from now Jolie-Pitt are still going strong while your lovelife/marriage/relationship is an unhappy state of affairs.

anon 12:44, there are more then one meaning too the name Shiloh! It's not just the Mesiah (aka Jesus). It also means the peaceful one. Before you start flipping out and assuming that they are naming their daughter after Jesus, find out what other meanings there are too the name that they have chosen for their child.
