Julia in NYC

Julia Roberts is negotiating to star in the Fox 2000 drama Daniel Isn't Talking. Posted on Monday, March 20, 2006 by Mark Umbach Since becoming a mom to twins Phinnaeus and Hazel, Julia Roberts has been spending very little time on the big screen. Now, Daily Variety is reporting that Roberts, who recently signed to star for her Closer director Mike Nichols in Charlie Wilson's War, is negotiating a lead role in Fox 2000's adaptation of Marti Leimbach's Daniel Isn't Talking, with Karen Rosenfelt producing. Stephen Chbosky, who recently adapted the Tony-winning musical Rent for the big screen, is doing the adaptation of Daniel, which centers on a London couple and their two children. All of their lives are thrown into turmoil, however, when the son is diagnosed with autism.[FilmStew]
