I have always liked Vince Vaughn, I think he's funny -- but from what I have seen of THE BREAKUP previous it seems like they have no chemistry whatsoever. To me it's like Tom and Nicole who were a real life couple but had absolutely zero (YAWN!!!) chemistry in Eyes Wide Shut.
People say that in this relationship, Jen can relax now since she is the prettier one. By looking Vince's picture above again(Ewww), I understand why people say that now.
I like Jen and I think Vince is one of the funniest actors out there but I don't buy their relationship. I think they're great friends and the media so wanted Jen to be in a relationship, that they (the media) created Vaughniston. Jen & Vince went along with it for two reasons.
1. good publicity for The Break Up
2. If you think the media is on Jen's back now, can you imagine what it would be like if she wasn't linked with a guy. It would be bonkers. I think Vince is helping Jen get a bit of a breather.
They will officially break up a month or two after the movie.

This is a wise hypothesis and I understand they went with the motion for the movie. But why do they really bother, only to go out of their way to fabricate their lives for the media - what happened to their dignity and pride ? And is that fair for the fans?? Wait a minute, the fans that really annoy the hell out Jen.
I think they are basically f-buddies, friends with benefits. His benefit is obvious. Her's is she saves face a bit from the Brad fiasco by getting even with a new relationship. Ultimately Brad probably could not even care less and is most likely happy for her....not jealous as she probably hopes.
10:26 totally agree with you. If it gets her thru the day then more power to her. The thing is Brad hasn't looked back once since his new life is full steam ahead. Also, more power to him.
