Janet close to finishing album

Producers/songwriters Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis say they are putting the finishing touches on their eighth album with Janet Jackson. Jimmy Jam said the as-yet-untitled album will include a small tribute to the 20th anniversary of Jackson's 1986 album, Control, Billboard.com reported Friday. It's a milestone year for us and for the collaboration, Jam tells Billboard.com. It'll be 20 years since the release of 'Control,' so there's definitely a little bit of a nod to that on the new album. Some of the recordings were done at the studio of Jackson's boyfriend, Jermaine Dupri. The president of Virgin Urban is also executive producer of the album. Jam said the project should be finished in January with a single in February and the full release in April or May. (UPI)
