'Thirteen' star joins to The OC

Award-winning film actress Nikki Reed of Thirteen will make her small screen debut on Fox TV's the The O.C. Reed, 17, will join the group of Newport Beach, Calif., teens for four episodes this season, the New York Daily News reported Saturday. Reed won an Independent Spirit Award in 2004 for her starring role in Thirteen, which she also co-wrote with director Catherine Hardwicke. Reed most recently appeared in Hardwicke's skateboarding flick Lords of Dogtown and in American Gun, which screened at the Toronto International Film Festival. (UPI)
