Who is this? Here's the scoop: A Marist College student from Babylon has died of complications from meningitis, according to the school. Caitlin Boyle, 19, died Wednesday at 7:40 p.m. Boyle had been in the Intensive Care Unit of St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Boyle, a junior educational psychology major, was on the Dean's list last spring and was a member of the Marist Dance Team, and an animal activist group called Southpaw. She graduated from St. Anthony's High School in South Huntington in 2003. Brother Vincent Adams, director of campus ministry at St. Anthony's High School, said Caitlin "was the kind of girl who literally lit up the room when she walked in." Adams said Boyle was well-liked by her guidance couselors and teachers, who, according to Adams, described her as a "sweet, loving girl who always had a smile." [Newsday]
