Kim rushed to buy ring to show friends

Rod Stewart's daughter Kimberly Stewart wasted no time in rushing her new fiance to a jeweler after he proposed to her -- the couple asked Hollywood gem king Neil Lane to keep his store open a little longer on Wednesday. Lane was getting ready to close his store for the evening when he received a phone call from smitten Stewart and her boyfriend of two months, "Laguna Beach" star Talan Torriero. According to Stewart family insider Cheryl Woodcock the couple was eager to announce the engagement news at a Hollywood party for the Xbox 360 video game console -- and Kimberly insisted on having a ring to show off to pals including Nicky Hilton.
