Jess S. gets a new movie

Jessica Simpson is in talks to star as the desired damsel in "Employee of the Month," which Gregory Coolidge is directing for Lions GateLions Gate Films. She would join Dane Cook, who also stars. Shooting is slated to begin in the spring. Simpson would play the newly hired cashier at a discount superstore whose affections are sought by the store's two dorky clerks. Their desire for her attention gets wrapped up in their brutal competition for the "employee of the month" title.
