Kimberly Stewart and MTV's Laguna Beach hunk Talan Torriero have called off their engagement. The couple originally announced their plans to wed on Nov. 15, after only a couple of months of dating. But apparently they’ve both had a change of heart. “It was just too soon to enter into a lifelong commitment," the couple’s reps said in a joint statement to PEOPLE. "It is better to have a brief engagement than a short marriage. The couple continue to share their time together and remain open to whatever the future may hold."
