Paris Hilton’s practicing her slapping. Face slapping, that is.
The wealthy heiress, says Sky News, is set to star as the ultimate starlet Zsa Zsa Gabor in a telemovie. The link? (besides the fact that have analogous reps) Gabor was married to Paris Hilton's great-grandfather Conrad Hilton.
Not unlike the young nympho that’ll be playing her, Zsa Zsa Gabor was more famous as a whimsical celebrity sex symbol than an actress. The actress, whose acting credits include “Moulin Rouge” (1951) and “Touch of Evil” (1959), garnered headlines when, in 1989, she slapped a Beverly Hills policeman who pulled her over for a traffic violation.
The telemovie will no doubt track Gabor’s early days – back when she was Miss Hungary in 1936, and played the villainess Minerva in the final episode of the 1960s TV series “Batman” – to saying her vows with Conrad Hilton, and giving that copper the surprise of his life.
Yet another remake has squeezed out sausage-like from the always-oiled retool machine.
“Piranha”, the classic 1978 B-effort about a bunch of college kids that are attacked be a fleshing eating fish in a lake, is getting the once-over by French film company Wild Bunch. Chuck Russell, of “The Mask” fame, is writing.
The film, budgeted at under $24 million, will shoot in the states next March of April.[
