Jen G. takes on thriller

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Jennifer Garner is going on "Sabbatical." The "Alias" heroine will star in and produce the Disney erotic thriller, follows a couple that hits the doldrums in their seventh year of marriage. To inject some life into their union, they decide to take a two-week sabbatical from each other during which, within a set of rules, they can do whatever they want. When the wife returns to the agreed-upon meeting place two weeks later, however, she discovers that her husband has disappeared. Garner's Vandalia Films banner sold the project to Disney, along with production company LivePlanet ("Matchstick Men") and Chuck Weinstock, who came up with the idea. A writer will be named shortly. Garner, who won a Golden Globe and a SAG Award for her performance on ABC's "Alias," will next be seen on the big screen in Sony's "Catch and Release." She is currently awaiting the delivery of her child with Ben Affleck. [Reuters]
