One day I will run a trashy tabloid. Until then, this will have to suffice.

Anne Heche gets a sitcom

ABC's latest in-the-works television drama is set in Alaska. Details are sketchy, but the TV show, tentatively titled “Men in Trees,” stars Anne Heche as a 30-something psychiatrist who retreats to Alaska after she discovers that her fiancée is (gasp!) cheating on her. Heche, apparently hoping Alaska will offer her solace from men in general, is surprised (as is Flashlight) to find herself instead in an Alaska town teeming with attractive and available men. Terri Bradley, Director of Programming at KIMO Channel 13, Anchorage's ABC outlet, isn't sure when the show will air and wasn't aware of any details other than the basic information. Flashlight doesn't have high expectations for “Men in Trees” - though it is penned by veteran “Sex in the City” writer Jenny Bicks - but we look forward to seeing Heche interact with the aforementioned attractive, available Alaskan men. Maybe we'll get to watch Heche salmon fishing with an available, bearded, Carhartt-clad guy, throwing back a few beers with an attractive, available man at a local dive bar, or fleeing from an available, sun-starved, bipolar mad man (one of her clients, perhaps). I love Anne Heche, I love Alaska, and I can't wait! Her hubbie is so cute, and it's so funny how i have always thought they really look alike.

I spent years in Alaska. Nowadays, that whole myth that there are sooo many more men than women up that way is b.s. unless you're in some God-forsaken place like Unalaska or Barrow. Really, I don't recall seeing any hot (and clean) men up there.

There in the trees! Lol. I'm being silly (and very corny) there aren't I. Anyway, I've never been there, but when the show "Northern Exposure" was on, I fell in love with the idea of Alaska (the show wasn't filmed in Washington state), and I still want to visit.
