Scarlett in NYC

Scarlett Johansson and Josh Hartnett are a super cute couple but that might not be enough to keep the two Hollywood stars together. There is now speculation of a split - though it is fairly new - as earlier reports still had the couple in love. But a report from TMZ details that Scarlett was out and about at Hollywood hot spot Tokio with friends. The web site reports that noticeably missing was boyfriend Josh Hartnett. Scarlett was low-keying it, partially covering her beautiful face with a hoodie. So, is the relationship kaput? Rumors have it that he called it quits. Late last month In Touch Weekly reported that Josh had presented his buxom 21-year old girlfriend with a platinum and diamond ring on the big day as the two shared a $1,000 bottle of champagne at the LA restaurant L'Orangerie. Anne Hathaway (as Jane Austen? Maybe?) on set.

Anne Hathaway has defended her casting as celebrated English author Jane Austen in upcoming movie “Becoming Jane,” insisting she knows the writer inside out. The star has been cited as an unsuitable choice to play Austen, who died in 1817, in literary circles because she "doesn't possess the right sensibilities." But Hathaway - who is a huge fan of Austen disagrees: "I know there are a lot of people out there that are horrified that the girl from the Princess Diaries is playing Jane Austen. I don't blame them, but I love her as much as any of the biggest fans so I don't want to go in there and mess it up. I've been reading her since I was 14 and in reading her, I know who she is. I have a handle on her spirit. And I'm learning to play the piano." The British-made film will tell the story of Austen's doomed love for Irish lawyer Tom LeFroy, played by James McAvoy, which floundered because LeFroy's financial prospects were unacceptable to Austen's family. And the 23-year-old insists many people are wrong for seeing Austen as a lonely character inexperienced in love. "We always think of Jane Austen as this woman who was a spinster, but she had this love affair which was one of the key relationships in her life. It awakened her sexuality and inspired a lot of relationships she later wrote about in her novels," she explained. [Starpulse]

Keira to Sienna: Don't date my ex

Blooming English Rose, Keira Knightly, has warned fellow actress Sienna Miller to steer clear of ex-love Jamie Dornan, claiming he’ll break her heart! Keira, controversially nicknamed “Twice Knightly” by her ex, called Sienna after word reached her about their recent string of dates, warning that tempers could be frayed if Sienna’s increasing success continued. The actress’s claims were verified after a blatant admittance from fiery Jamie, when he told The Daily Star: “There is a big pressure when you go out with someone like Keira. You can feel a bit second-rate and that’s what started to happen.” Friend’s of Keira’s told The Daily Star: “She likes Sienna and doesn’t want to see her make the same mistakes.” But does Sienna, whose recent love affair with Jude Law hit headlines daily, really need relationship advice? Well she doesn’t seem to think so. Thanking Keira for her concern, Sienna boldly stated “I’m a big girl and I’ll make my own mistakes.” The fashionista promptly met with Dornan at London’s Electric bar, where the pair continued to sup pints together. Kate drops cocaine libel suit

Supermodel Kate Moss ended the libel suit she filed against Britain's Channel Five just hours before a London trial date was due to be set. Moss, 32, filed the suit after the station aired a documentary claiming she had collapsed into a cocaine-induced coma back in 2001, the Mirror reported. Naomi Campbell's personal assistant said she witnessed Moss snorting the drug in a Madrid hotel bathroom and later helped revive Moss after the model had become comatose. The TV station was granted permission by the court last month to use as evidence pictures published in the Mirror of Moss using cocaine in a London recording studio, the newspaper said. The Mirror said Moss decided to call off her suit Thursday because she would have had to sign a statement denying she was snorting cocaine in the Mirror pictures. [UPI]

Ellen's in Orlando!

The Ellen DeGeneres Show has assembled a starry lineup for three programs that tape this week at Universal Orlando. Just hearing those names -- Tim McGraw, Kelsey Grammer, Shakira -- sends DeGeneres into self-deprecating high gear. "How'd we get them?" she asks, from Burbank, Calif., where her show originates. "I'm for sure going. I wasn't for sure I was going. I was going for the Hulk ride. That was enough to get me there." The syndicated talk show will tape one episode Friday and two more Saturday at the resort. The programs air Monday through Wednesday. (The show is seen locally at 4 p.m. weekdays on WESH-Channel 2.) The Ellen DeGeneres Show doesn't go on the road often, and the challenge of working outside delights the host. [More at OrlandoSentinel]

Russell and Kimora split?

NEW YORK - The marriage of hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons and his model-turned-entrepreneur wife, Kimora Lee, has come to an end. In a statement provided to The Associated Press on Friday, Simmons announced the pair had decided to break up after seven years of marriage. Rumors had swirled for the past week that a split was imminent. The couple have two young daughters. "Kimora and I will remain committed parents and caring friends with great love and admiration for each other," Simmons said. "We will also continue to work side by side on a daily basis as partners in all of our businesses." Simmons is head of Rush Communications, but is perhaps better known as the co-founder of Def Jam Records and for his Phat Farm clothing line. In recent years, he has become more involved in politics, and helped to create the Hip-Hop Summit Action Network. Over the years, Kimora Lee Simmons has become almost as famous as her husband, thanks to her successful Baby Phat clothing line and her glamorous diva persona, which has been documented in numerous magazine spreads. Although the pair have appeared at public events together in recent weeks, the statement said they had been separated for "some time," even though they were still living together. [Yahoo]

Nicolette is bad in bed

Nicolette Sheridan's ex claims the 'Desperate Houswives' star is useless in the bedroom. Niklas Soderblom - who dated the blonde for two years - says she goes off sex as soon as soon as she gets her man. He revealed: "She uses her sexuality to get what she wants and as soon as the ring is on her finger she stops wanting to have sex. "I guess she's sexy on screen, but definitely not in a real life relationship." 42-year-old Sheridan - who plays man-eater Edie on the smash hit TV show - is now engaged to old flame Michael Bolton, but Soderblom has some words of warning for the loved-up crooner. He told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "I feel sorry for Michael - because I think he really loves her. "But I know there's now way in hell a relationship is going to work with Nicolette Sheridan." [LSE]

Haha! Lindsay tries to play outside her league

There are not too many women who WOULDN'T make a play for George Clooney -- especially single women. But Lindsay Lohan struck out when she made her play for the newly-crowned Oscar winner at a nightclub in New York the other night. After overtly flirting with Clooney, Lindsay finally realized she wasn't getting anywhere -- so left the club. While Clooney was totally polite and engaged in animated conversation with the 20-year-old starlet, he did not pick up at all on her obvious advances. Later, a source close to Clooney told me he admitted that "even if I was attracted to Lindsay -- she's WAY too young for me." Plus the actor and director added he knew that if he had appeared to be interested in the Lohan -- "the tabloids would have yet another field day with me!" [cbs2chicago]
