Uma get some big film rights

Actress Uma Thurman has bought the film rights to German author Frank Schaetzing's best-selling ecological thriller 'The Swarm'. The novel has already been translated into 18 languages due to its massive success in Germany after topping the best-seller lists for almost a year. According to the author's publishing company Kiepenhauer and Witsch, the 'Pulp Fiction' star is now intent on shooting the film at several international locations and has enlisted the help of German producers Ica and Michael Souvegnier in order to do so. Schaetzing explained: "Several big-name studios and producers have pitched for the stuff in the past few years. "For me, Uma, Ica and Michael are the ideal constellation for an international film success. We have the same vision." [Virgin]
