Sharon Stone has reached a settlement with the Daily Mail, accepting substantial undisclosed damages and a formal apology over a false rumour.
Sharon Stone sued the British tabloid over a story in which Daily Mail claimed the actress hasleft her son in a car while enjoying dinner at The Ivy.
According to the tabloid, Sharon Stone had been dining with a "mystery male companion" in the London eatery while her son slept in the backseat of a car nearby, and then repeated the allegations in a second article a month later.
Sharon Stone's lawyer, Rupert Grey, said: "The article conveyed the clear allegation that Sharon Stone had neglected her son in a shameful and selfish way."
