Ryan and Simon on The Tonight Show

Simon Cowell and Ryan Seacrest appear on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" at NBC Studios in New York City on May 15, 2006. Simon Cowell blamed Jay for the feuds between the “American Idol” judges and host Ryan Seacrest, “Every time we go on this show no one ever talks to us the next day. You are really stirring things up.” On the Paula Abdul and Ryan Seacrest argument that is said to have begun during their separate “Tonight Show” appearances Simon says, “They are still not talking to each other. They were absolutely furious with each other and we all blamed it on you.” Jay, playing innocent, asked Simon if he thought Ryan was watching his appearance. Simon joked, “I know he is for two reasons. One there’s a chance he’s gonna get a mention and two I’m on and he likes watching me on TV.” But the joke was on Simon when Ryan emerged from backstage.
