Kate Winslet to star in Elton John's Gnomeo and Juliet

Sir Elton John revealed that his new movie project Gnomeo and Juliet has been given the go-ahead by Miramax Films, and will be starring Titanic beauty Kate Winslet in the lead role. Elton John’s CG-animated feature is a twist on William Shakespeare’s classic play Romeo and Juliet, and is set in the world of garden gnomes. The Candle in the Wind singer, who was earlier in talks with Disney studios, said that he was extremely excited about working with Miramax, as the studio was the ‘perfect home’ for his Gnomeo. “I am very excited about working with Miramax.
