Jess loves James Blunt

When pop singer and actress Jessica Simpson went to Australia recently to support kid sister, fellow poppette Ashlee Simpson, she apparently ran into rocker James Blunt, almost literally, as she hunted him down, according to a story in Star magazine. The Simpson girls were in the outback for the recent MTV Australia Video Music Awards, when the elder sister learned that the long-haired, bearded singer was there, and let it be known through a friend that she "was determined to meet him." The gossip-sphere says the girl must have got her man, because Blunt reported took her phone number, and "she was glowing the rest of the night." The rocker is the opposite end of the universe in appearance from her all-American ex-Nick Lachey with his tatoos, muscles, and clean shaven face. The only thing the two (three?) have in common is singing, from the looks of it. [PC]
