Drake and Josh star injured in wreck

WESTWOOD, CA, United States (UPI) -- Nickelodeon`s 'Drake and Josh' star Drake Bell was in serious condition Friday with injuries from a head-on collision in Santa Monica, Calif. The star of the cable network`s top-rated series was at the wheel of his 1966 Ford Mustang, stopped in a left-turn lane, when his car was hit head-on by a Mercedes on Pacific Coast Highway, TMZ.com reported. The actor was transferred from Santa Monica Hospital to UCLA Medical Center in Westwood, Calif., around 3 a.m. Friday with a fractured neck, broken jaw, facial lacerations and several missing teeth. His co-star, Josh Peck, was by his side. 'Drake and Josh' Executive Producer Dan Schneider said the show will suspend production for its fourth season until Bell is on his feet again.
